In her feature-length documentary The Man Behind The Mircrophone, director Claire Belhassine embarks on a journey to learn who her grandfather really was, and why he kept his past—as the most famous singer in Tunisian history—a secret from his family.

Co-written by Tom and frequent collaborator Franz Kirmann, The Man Behind The Microphone soundtrack blends piano, clarinet and a string quartet provided by the London Contemporary Orchestra with electronic textures to create a score that invokes Belhassine’s intensely personal journey of discovery, and the music and heritage of the man known as 'the Frank Sinatra of Tunisia.’
