Tom and Franz Kirmann enjoy a long standing collaborative relationship. As Piano Interrupted, they have released three albums, Landscapes of the Unfinished, Two by Four and The Unified Field on experimental German label, Denovali Records. Piano Interrupted regularly play around Europe in a trio with double bassist, Tim Fairhall.

In late 2017, Tom and Franz composed the score for brand new eight-part BBC / AMC drama McMafia starring James Norton, the first episode of which aired on BBC One on New Year's Day 2018 in the UK, and 26th February on AMC in the US. The full soundtrack is available to stream and download now through Mercury KX. 

Recently, Tom and Franz provided the original soundtrack for The Man Behind The Microphone, a portrait of Hedi Jouini, the most popular musical star in Tunisian history, known as the “Frank Sinatra of Tunisia”. The first single was released on the 2nd November, and the full soundtrack will be available on 16th November through 1631 Recordings. The Man Behind The Microphone is now streaming worldwide on MUBI.
